Rescue Me ID: 16-03-03-00118Miss Mimi (female)

Munchkin    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Miss Mimi is ~10/11 y.o. She is very sweet with her human, and likes to climb up and share her foster mom's bed. She's not a fan of being carried around, but she will tolerate it with some grumbling. She will climb furniture and is not declawed. She enjoys screened porches and chasing toys. Sadly, she spent her entire life as the only furbaby of a single woman who gave her away upon marrying, and she cannot adjust (after 2 years of trying) to her new life in a multi-cat household. She wants to be dominant and aggressively chases the other cats from room to room. To reduce her stress levels and return her to her happier personality ... (Read More)days, she needs a new home as soon as possible. She cannot go to a home with other cats. One large breed dog might be okay since she seems to ignore the foster mom's dog most of the time. She needs a calm environment because she's an elderly cat and just a few people who will shower her with love. She's in excellent health according to her veterinarian with surprisingly perfect teeth for her age. She will only eat one brand of dry cat food (Purina Indoor Cat) and two types of dry treats. She deserves to be happy and feel peaceful and calm because her attitude has resulted in the foster's other cats stalking and harassing her continuously. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Munchkin in Alabama
Munchkin Cats can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. The Munchkin is a fairly new and largely unrecognized breed of cat distinguished by its abnormally short legs. Munchkin advocates describe the cats as being wonderful choices for small homes. Munchkins are bred from a variety of other cat breeds for the specific trait of having short legs. Therefore, the temperaments of these cats vary widely as do their other physical characteristics.
